The Best Way to Book a quality tour in Egypt by Ahalan Olympus (No Limits Tours)

5 Days Trekking in the Sinai High Mountain Range

Day 1:
Early in the morning Transfer to the Taba Border Crossing. After crossing the border, an Egyptian car will take us through the changing landscapes of the Sinai desert to the St. Cathrin’s Monastery. After a thorough visit, including the Museum, where, among other valuable ancient exhibits, we can see the oldest icons in the world, as well as the famous “CODEX SINAITICUS” – the oldest example of the New Testament, we drive to the Village. Here we stop for reorganisation, buying food, and contacting the local Sheikh of the camels. Then, joined by a local Bedouin guide (“Dalil”) we start our first hike through the canyon of Wadi Tlach, where we also camp for the night.

Day 2:
After breakfast we head out of Wadi Tlach, and start to climb into the big Wadi Shaag, where we make a stop to bath in the natural pool of the Shaag spring. Then we hike through some wide granite wadis and climb to the top of Djebel Naaja, where we can enjoy a wide view of South Sinai and the Red Sea. After descending from Djebel Naaja, we set our camp in Wadi Tinya.

Day 3:
Through a serie of bizzare valleys we reach the romantic Um Silla Valley, a valley that gave travellers the inspiration to create a spontaneous open-air art museum. We descend steeply into the hidden natural pool called Gulat el Azrak, where we can enjoy a bathing opportunity. After the bathing rest we climb up into the Big Wadi Tala’a, a wadi rich with water. We camp in the oasis Farsh Rumana.

Day 4:
Today we spend the whole day in the mountain range called Djebel Bab. Early in the morning we climb through the natural ascend “Naqb Bahariya”.  It brings us, after some walking, to the small spring Ein Nagila. From here we climb the challenging climb to the top of Jebel (Mt.) Abu Gassaba. A serie of valleys takes us to the “balcony” of Mas Abu Gurun, surrounded by deep, steep cliffs. Another serie of valleys brings us down to Wadi Jbal, where we set our camp.

Day 5:
We continue through the wide valley of Wadi Jbal, and then through a few man-made camel-trails and Bedouin gardens back to the village, where our car waits for us. Drive back to the Taba Border-crossing
